Mqabba Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Vince Carbonaro as first-team coach.

Last Season, Vince led Pembroke Athleta on a positive season , overseeing a youthful squad with the youngest average age in the league.

Carbonaro, 62, is one of the most experienced coaches in the Malta – having won several promotions in different divisions.

Welcome To Mqabba Nikolai Farrugia Cross

Mqabba FC is delighted to announce that we have completed the signing of 21-year-old Nikolai Farrugia Cross .

Nikolai is a product of Birkirkara FC Youth Academy and this will be his first experience away from his home club.

Farrugia Cross is able to play both as a wingback and as a lateral midfielder.

Kurt Theuma is Red

Mqabba Football Club is delighted to confirm the arrival of Kurt Theuma.

For the last two seasons Theuma, who is a product of Floriana Football Club, has been part of Qrendi Football Club and played regularly in the Challenge League.

The 23-year-old centre-back is a versatile defender and will add quality and depth to our squad.

Welcome Boubacar Kanta

Mqabba FC are delighted to announce the signing of 21 year old striker Boubacar Kanta.

The Mali striker joins our team after starting the season with San Gwann.

Boubacar will be an integral part of our Youth team and will also be available for selection for the senior side, adding attacking options to Coach Adamovic.

Jeremy Azzopardi Is Red Again

Mqabba FC is delighted to announce that the 21-year-old defender Jeremy Azzopardi will play for Mqabba FC for the remaining of the season.

Azzopardi is a product of Valletta FC and this will be his third season with our club.

We wish Jeremy the best of luck in the red shirt!

Our New Captain – Omar Khatib

We are delighted to announce that Omar Khatib has been named our new first-team captain.

Khatib arrived at Mqabba from Kirkop in July 2020, and has gone on to play over 20 times with our senior team.

It is easy to forget that Omar is still only 21;still one of the younger players at Mqabba, but with one of the biggest roles, and an authoritative voice to boot.

We wish Omar every success as our captain.

Outro Brasileiro, Lucas

Mqabba FC are delighted to announce the signing of Brazilian striker Lucas Matheus.

Lucas is still 25 years old, and this will be his first experience outside of Brazil. Last season he played with Foz do Iguaçu FC where he won the league title.

Segunda Temporada, Kaká

Mqabba F.C. are delighted to announce that Brazilian Striker Ronald Makalysten Melo Costa has signed a new contract.

During the last season, which was his first in Malta, the 22 year old played 17 games, scored three goals and assisted seven.

Ronald, known as Kaka, is one of those naturally gifted players that any coach would love to work with. For a young man, he has a good footballing brain which, when coupled with his exceptional talent, makes for a player with an exciting future ahead of him. This is the perfect club for Ronald to progress his development and we are all delighted he has signed for another year.

 

Welcome to Mqabba Petar Kanzurov

The Club has reached an agreement with the 23 year old, Macedonian striker Petar Kanzurov.

Petar has a good experience in the Maltese football. He was brought in Malta by San Gwann F.C. in January 2018 . He also played for Tarxien Rainbows in the Maltese Premier League and last season he joined Rabat Ajax.

Petar has the perfect platform at Mqabba to develop and he has all of the technical qualities and the right mentality required to be successful. We are all looking forward to working with him to fulfil his potential over the coming years.
